There are four different User Roles within Arken:
Primary User, Administrator, Initiator and Instruction Taker Only
Each role has it own permissions.
What is a Primary User?
The Primary User is the person who initially registered for Arken. There is only one Primary User and their login is given the following permissions:
- Setup and management of all users
- Creation of clients
- Creation of documents
- Deletion of client/document data
- Update Arken subscriptions
- Will customisations
The most important ability this role has is the management of other users.
What User Roles can the Primary User assign?
There are three User Roles that the Primary User can assign to an individual user:
1. Administrator
This role has the following abilities:
- Setup and management of users
- Creation of clients
- Creation of documents (If will drafter is set to Yes)
- Update Arken subscriptions
- Will customisations
2. Initiator
This role has the following abilities:
- Creation of clients
- Creation of documents (If will drafter is set to Yes)
3. Instruction Taker Only
This role will only be available to you if you have our Arken Anywhere product. These users have the same abilities as Initiators but they cannot see or download the finished document and they will not be able to login to Arken Professional to view your clients.
Who should I assign what role to?
Within any organisation there are a range of experience and responsibilities, because of this it can be hard to give firm suggestions who should be assigned a specific role type.
1. Initiators could be any client facing role within your organisation who you do not want to have access to the various Customisation options.
2. Administrators have more options within Arken; this person has the ability create Will Customisations and therefore should be trusted to understand the implications of any changes they make in the system.
Administrators and Initiators can also be allocated the role of a Drafter. This allows them to create and manage documents. If you'd like a user to have document privileges please check 'yes' in the Document Drafter
Note: You can add as many users as is required - there is no extra charge for adding another user.
